Using the Tools: videos

The videos on this page provide demonstrations of the Teaching Tracker Tools in action. In both primary and secondary contexts, you can observe teachers' and researchers' discussing practice, guided by the tools. 

1. Introduction to the Teaching Tracker Tools (T3) 

Nicky Dulfer briefly introduces the Teaching Tracker Tools, explaining purpose of the tools that are illustrated in this series of videos.

2. Pre-lesson interview before a ​Year 12 Philosophy lesson

Jeana Kriewaldt interviews teacher Dylan Karunaratne about his planning for a Year 12 Philosophy class, before observing a lesson. 

3. Demonstrating the Make, Say, Do, Write tool (Secondary)

Dylan Karunaratne analyses and reflects on practice with Jane Thornton using the Make, Say, Do, Write tool and post lesson questions. 

4. Demonstrating the Checklist Tool

This video demonstrates the use of the Checklist tool. Philosophy teacher Dylan Karunaratne uses the tool to discuss and reflect with observer Jeana Kriewaldt.

5. Grade Two Investigations interview - setting the scene

Jeana Kriewaldt talks with teacher Aleeshia Grosso about the investigations learning approach. 

6. Reflecting on classroom observations

Jeana Kriewaldt and Grade Two teacher Aleeshia Grosso discuss using the Make, Say, Do, Write classroom observation tool to analyse practice.

7. Demonstrating the Classroom Questioning tool 

In this video, teacher Aleeshia Grosso and observer Nadine Crane use the Classroom Questioning tool to analyse and reflect on practice in Aleeshia's Grade Two classroom.

8. Demonstrating the Make, Say, Do, Write tool (Primary)

This video illustrates the use of the Make, Say, Do, Write tool in a Grade Two classroom. Teacher Aleeshia Grosso reflects with A/Prof Jeana Kriewaldt.

9. Demonstrating the Proximity and Verbal Flow tools

Teacher Aleeshia Grosso analyses and reflects on practice with Dr Nicky Dulfer, using the Proximity and Verbal tools to explore teaching strategies used in the observed lesson.
